Through guided reading, shared reading and various hands-on activities, students are gradually motivated and able to read independently
DTS, short for Development of Text Sets, creates a language rich curriculum, tailored to schools’ specific needs and requirements, using a range of unique and authentic texts. By combining multi-modal texts that include print-based or digital-based an immersive and enriched curriculum is created that allows for exploration and inquiry. Experiential learning is also a key component of DTS curriculum.
NET promotes positive values to the whole school in the morning assembly. During lunch recess, students take part in English activities with the help of students ambassadors.
A reading programme that pairs older students with younger students to promote and encourage reading.
NET reads books to P.1 students in the morning reading sessions.
Different activities, such as Reading Rewards and World Book Day, motivate students to develop their reading habits.
Every year, English Elite team joins EDB NET Section competitions. Past competitions include Debate, Public Speaking and Film.
Students enjoy playing games and visiting various booths.
